Walnuts of Sorrento
Sorrento variety walnuts are the most prized and most widespread. Originally from the Sorrento peninsula, this variety has spread somewhat throughout Campania. The Sorrento walnut is characterized by its smooth, thin shells and its very pleasant-tasting, slightly oily, creamy-white fruit. One of its main characteristics is that, unlike other cultivars, the kernel can easily be extracted whole, which makes it particularly appreciated by consumers. From a nutritional point of view, walnuts are rich in minerals and therefore perfect for those who practice sports. Very useful as a source of zinc, calcium and magnesium, they are also excellent allies in the treatment of arteriosclerosis and stress.
