Jams & Honey

The apricot jam is prepared with fresh apricots harvested at the right ripeness and it is excellent to spread on rusks and crackers. Also ideal for preparing desserts and pies.

Sunflower honey production is predominant in central Italy. It is delicate and slightly fruity, with notes of apricot and vegetable aroma. It has a tart flavour, occasionally with a star anise aftertaste and a refreshing sensation.

It is the perfect accompaniment for sweetening drinks and can be used in the kitchen to prepare cakes and biscuits.

Cherry jam prepared with fresh fruit is ideal for making desserts or as an accompaniment to ricotta and gorgonzola cheese.

The fig jam prepared only with fresh figs is ideal for the preparation of desserts and with all types of cheese.

Prune jam made only with local prunes is ideal for preparing desserts and to accompany fresh cheeses.

Sandra and Dario Trucco's honey di sulla is produced in the Petrella Tifernina area. It is a pale yellow, straw-coloured, almost transparent honey. It crystallises quickly and has a whitish colour tending to beige. It has a very delicate flavour, a sweet taste (with no bitter aftertaste) and a pleasant aroma of wild herbs. Honey is useful in treating flu-like conditions, helps to soothe coughs and has antibacterial functions. In addition, it is a valuable source of energy, useful for athletes, children, pregnant women, convalescent persons and the elderly.
